Preschool & Kindergarten

Founded in 1977, Cougar Mountain Montessori nurtures the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children ages 2¼ - 6 years. Our certified Montessori teachers, trained assistants and Montessori interns create a stimulating learning environment full of materials and activities to interest and challenge our students.

We are conveniently located in the Eastgate area of Bellevue (south of I-90) and within easy access from Bellevue, Issaquah, Lakemont and Newcastle.

We Offer...

Morning and Afternoon Preschool and Kindergarten as well as Full-day Preschool and Kindergarten.

We offer All-day care for children needing care before and after our preschool/kindergarten programs. Now open from 7:45AM -6:00PM.

We also offer a Toddler & Young Three's Class, meeting the needs of our youngest students. This class is designed for children that are at least 2¼ years old when enrollment begins.

In keeping with Montessori Theory, our classrooms are comprised of multiple-age children, encouraging our younger children to learn from the older ones, and allowing the older children to develop a sense of leadership. This classroom community is vital to children's development.
