Founded in 1977, Cougar Mountain Montessori nurtures the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children ages 3-6. Our certified Montessori teachers, trained assistants and Montessori interns create a stimulating learning environment full of materials and activities to interest and challenge our students.

We are conveniently located in the eastgate area of Bellevue (south of I-90) and within easy access from Bellevue, Issaquah, Lakemont and Newcastle.

Our Classrooms

In keeping with Montessori Theory, our four classrooms are comprised of multiple-age children, encouraging our younger children to learn from the older ones, and allowing the older children to develop a sense of leadership. This classroom community is vital to children's development.
