Dr. Montessori designed a "prepared environment" in which children could freely choose from a number of developmentally appropriate activities.

During work time at Cougar Mountain Montessori, children learn at their own, individual pace while making their choices from a large variety of possibilities.

Learning is an exciting process of discovery leading to improved concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning.

Students eat lunch brought from home.

Car Lane:

Morning Students leave; Afternoon Students Arrive

Outdoor Playtime & Gross Motor Activities

Optional Nap Time - children begin "work" when they awake

Afternoon circle (story, lessons, counting, phonics, music)

"Work" time - snack is also offered

Car Lane: 3PM Extended Day Children depart

"Work" time to Playtime transition

Car Lane: Afternoon Students & 4PM Extended Day children depart
